“What is 1100 Florence?”

1100 Florence is a former Polish meat shop turned art event space. It is the brainchild of the creative powerhouse of Lisa Degliantoni and Dave Ford.

Lisa and Dave are deeply invested in bringing arts and cultural conversations to the Evanston community. Dave is an artist himself. And five years ago Lisa created EvanstonMade, a community arts initiative that facilitates engagement between the public and Evanston creatives, of ALL ages. Every June, EvanstonMade sponsors a citywide open studio and gallery tour throughout Evanston, as well as its namesake exhibition hosted at the Evanston Arts Center. The Nasty Women Evanston Art Exhibition is produced on the same weekend to create an even more dynamic arts experience for both artists and art lovers.

You are welcome to check out 1100 Florence prior to the show. Gallery hours are weekdays by appointment only, weekends 12-5 p.m., email evanstonmade@gmail.com
